28 Days of MUA - Day 28

Hi Lovelies

It's the final day in my 28 Days of MUA series. I have really enjoyed featuring a different product each day and will hopefully do a review on some of the products mentioned.

The final product is my favourite MUA product in my collection. It's actually my second as the first was trodden on when I dropped it just before christmas :(

It's a beautiful bold Green single Eyeshadow in Shade 6 (pearl)
Its well pigmented and blends easily.
I like to team it with a glittery gold for evening wear. The gold on the lid with a bit of the green blended into the crease with a slick of liquid eyeliner. I also wear a little of the Green smudged under the eye with an Ivory shadow on the lid with eyeliner for a bit of colour but keeping it fairly simply for daytime.
If you don't have this eyeshadow, I think you should! :)

28 Days of MUA - Day 27

Hi Lovelies

I hope you had a great Wednesday? I love Wednesdays because it means the weekend is just around the corner :)

Today's Product is the MUA Fairy Dust Nail Polish called Glitter Wings.

I'm really loving the Fairy Dust Polishes, they look so pretty and really sparkle when the light hits your nails. I love that they are such good quality even though they are a cheaper makeup brand.
I have used OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Illamasqua and most of the drugstore brands polishes and can say these are now one of my favourite finishes!

The Glitter Wings Polish is a stunning Glittery Gold. It applies really well, no streaks and dried quickly. I did apply two coats as I didn't think one coat was enough. That doesn't mean it's not one coat like it states just that I felt it need another.

Have you tried the MUA Fairy Dust Polishes?

28 Days of MUA - Day 26

Hi Lovelies

It's almost the middle of the working/school week, thank god!

Today's product is the New MUA Matte Perfect Foundation-Shine Control in Fair

I have very pale skin so I ordered this in Fair, when they had their 50% off sale. When I first swatched it on my arm I was a bit disappointed because it looked orange! I took a picture and then blended it in, I was very pleased to see it blended very well and paled down to blend in with my skin :)
I have been using it for a week since my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse ran out and I have to say I really like it. I don't have oily skin but can sometimes get a bit of shine in the usual T-Zone area. I like Matte foundations as I find they help control and also I find it stays put all day.
I always use it 5 minutes after applying moisturiser and finish with a little powder to set. So far it has been very good! No shine and lasts all day.

Have you used any of the MUA Foundations?

28 Days of MUA - Day 25

Hi Lovelies.

It's almost March, let's hope for some Spring Sunshine instead of all this Cold and Snow!

Today's product is the MUA 3 in 1 eXtreme Contour Liner in Black.

This is great if you are a fan if Smokey Eyes! It's an angled shadow liner that allows you to create three different looks.

My Picture from left to right shows

Ultra Chic (First Line) which is achieved using the tip of the nib to define the eyes.

Glamorous (Second Line) for smokey eyes using the mid part of the nib to create a soft and sultry effect.

Dramatic (Third Line) you use the widest part of the nib to create big and bold smokey eyes.

The fourth line in my pic is just showing how dramatic you can get it by using the widest part of the nib(third line) and going over it again. It builds up really well.

I don't use this as a normal eyeliner as I'm a gel/liquid eyeliner pen/pot type of girl. This I use to smudge under my eye, apply a liner after applying eyelashes or to create smokey eyes. It really is an amazing product and so easy to use.

Have you used this Contour Liner?

28 Days of MUA - Day 23

I hope you have a great Saturday. I am off to introduce my darling little puppy to my Family.

Today's product is another Nail Polish Shade No.18

This is a pale Pink colour that is a dupe for I think in Pink by OPI and could also be used for French Manicures

I love Pink Nail Polishes, which I am sure the more I post, will become pretty obvious.
The picture isn't the best and I broke a Nail :(
The finish is so smooth and it looks so much better in real life.

As I said in my All Bare MUA Polish review, I love Nude Manis and this one is perfect. It looks so simple yet Elegent!
The best thing about it was that the brush is really good. This brush for this Polish is white(the others I reviewed were Black) Its soft and fans out wide enough to create a perfect finish. Im finally happy!

28 Days of MUA - Day 22

Hi Lovelies

It's Friday! Have you anything exciting planned for the weekend? I hope It's a sunny one!

Today's product Is the Pro Fixing Mist.

I have only ever used the Elf version of this which a lot of people said was a cheaper alternative to the Mac Fix+, I havent used the Mac so cannot say if this is true or not.

I love the Elf, I spritz my face and stipple It In lightly with a stippling brush and It leaves me with a lovely radiant finish that lasts most of the day. I am pleased to say that the MUA Pro Fixing Mist Is just as good. I love how smooth and perfect a finish you get after adding a spritz of this Fixing Mist to your makeup.

It claims "protects against heat, humidity, cold and windy conditions; whatever your day throws at you - your makeup will hold In place."

I haven't been out In the heat as its Winter or In the  rain but the wind I have braved and my Makeup was still perfect. I think to really see If the above Is true you would need to trial It at different points of the year to really know If It does exactly as It says. So far so good though :)

The Elf Fix and Set Mist is a little over £1 cheaper than this product and they are basically the same thing. So I think once I finish the MUA I would still by the Elf (unless I was making an order at MUA and needed nothing else from Elf, no point paying two lots of postage to save £1.It wouldn't actually work out cheaper doing that!).

28 Days of MUA - Day 21

Hi Lovelies

My Puppy is being a bit naughty today, keeps trying to chew the ankle hem of my trousers! I give him a chew toy to distract him and teach him what he can chew but 5 mins later he is back. Its going to be a long day :)

Today's product is the MUA Lipstick in Shade 5

Its a Beautiful Pale Pink, well pigmented and very moisturising. Which, Is all I want from a Lipstick and the fact that Its so cheap makes It perfect for me :)

28 Days of MUA - Day 20

Hi Lovelies

How is your week going so far? Are you working hard and counting down to the weekend?

Today's MUA product is The Artist Collection.

I think this palette is a great idea. Perfect for Holidays and weekends away or just overnight stays. There are 6 choices of Eyeshadow, Two Blushes a Contouring Powder and a Highlighter. No need to take lots of single Eyeshadows, Blushers and Contouring Powders with you.

Eyeshadows are from Left to Right -Pistachio, Mocca, Ice, Grape, Chocolate and Cookie
Blushers - Pink Sparkle and Primrose
Contouring Powder - Bronzed
Highlight - Shimmer Kiss

Chocolate and Cookie are my favourite Eyeshadows from this palette, the Cookie Eyeshadow has a Pink Shimmer to it that looks stunning all over the eye lid with a bit of Chocolate Eyeshadow blended into the crease.

Have you bought this palette? Let me know what you think.

28 Days of MUA - Day 24

Hi Lovelies

I hope you have had a great weekend!
I've been busy planning a Baby Shower today. It's on Friday and I'm also making the cake so this week will be quite busy for me.

Today's product is the MUA Blusher in Shade 1.
This is a gorgeous pink, it's well pigmented and blends really well. It was one of the first items I bought from MUA, a couple of years ago and I have actually just started my second. I know I will more than likely end up buying a third, once I have used this one because I really love it that much!

Have you used this Blusher, what are your thoughts?

28 Days of MUA - Day 19

Hi Lovelies

I cannot believe we have just over a week left of February, the past two weeks have gone so fast!

Today's product is MUA Nail Polish in Bare.

The bottle is so cute and small :)
I love Nude/Beige Nails Polishes. I always think hands look really elegant with a Nude Mani.

You have to apply really slowly and make sure the brush fans out or it doesn't apply very well, it still left a couple of streaks but nothing too bad. I think if the brush bristles were slightly softer and fanned out a little bit wider it would be perfect!

This Polish is more of a Pearly White than a Beige but just as lovely!

have you used the MUA Polishes, what are your thoughts?

28 Days of MUA - Day 18

Hi Lovelies

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I picked up my puppy yesterday. He Is a Beagle and we have called him Buckley. Such a cutie!! :) check out his pic, all snuggled up with his Bone Pillow we bought him.

Today's product Is the MUA Mosaic Blusher.

I love this blusher! It's a Mosaic of Pinks, Purples and bronzers that give a beautiful pop of colour to the apples of your cheeks and the great thing Is that It contains shimmer that highlights your cheek bones at the same time. I love the subtle glow you get as well as colour to your face, I use a medium sized powder brush to apply because I prefer to just wear it on my cheeks and find I can control where It goes better than If I use a big blush brush. Even though It has got shimmer and bronzing shades In It It Is a blush and you don't want blusher from your eye to your jaw line :)

Do you like Mosaic Blushers?

28 Days of MUA - Day 16

Hi Lovelies

How are you all today? I hope you enjoy your weekend :)

Todays product is the MUA Poptastic Palette

This palette is so colourful and fun. It reminds me of the Sleek Acid palette, there are 12 bright coloured eyeshadows 4 shades of Blue, 2 Pinks, 2 Greens, 2 Purples, 1 Yellow and a Gold. This palette is perfect for creating a fun and colourful look for nights out, especially in the Summer. It also makes me think of denim and crimped hair :)

Do you like fun, bright eyeshadows?

Kelly Brook Nail Polish

Hi Lovelies

The Sun is out and its Friday! Yay :)
I decided to paint my nails this morning and went with the Kelly Brook Nail Polish I showed in my Haul Post Part 1. I thought I would do a quick review of it.
I bought this from Newlook, I'm not sure if this is a line she has done with Newlook or if its her own line she sells through Newlook. there are quite a few Face, Eye, Lip and Nail items to choose from, the packaging reminds me of the Topshop Makeup packaging.

The Negatives
When I first opened the bottle I noticed it felt like the lid was threaded(like when a screw looses its thread, so no grip) It was definitely grinding against either the glass neck or maybe a build up of glitter? I don't know, It just felt weird!
It doesn't smell that great - its a strange smell. Not Strong but not the usual Nail Polish smell either.
No name on the bottle, it was definitely on the cellophane wrap just not on the actual bottle. Which is annoying because I binned the wrapper :) I think its called Ace.
Its quite thick and gloopy.

The Positives
It looks Pretty!
 Only need 2 coats.
Dries quite quickly.

I liked how it looks but the smell and consistency put me off a little. I'm hoping the issue with the lid and bottle grinding is a one off.

28 Days of MUA - Day 15

Hi Lovelies

It's Friday at last :) any plans for the weekend?

Today's product is the Lip Liner Brooding Plum.

This one is quite deceiving. The pencil looks a deep red/plum colour but when you apply it its more Cerise. Still very beautiful though and is just as creamy and pigmented as the other Liners I have from the range.
