BarryM Silk Nail Paint Release

I'm so excited for the new release from BarryM. The Silk Nail Paints are being released on 12th February and will be £3.99 each.

There are six colours available.

It's a matte finish with a slight shimmer underneath. I have no doubt that these will be a Spring/Summer favourite!! The must have nail polish this spring?

BarryM Greenberry with Ciate Snow Globe Nails

I hadn't painted my nails for three weeks until the other day. After painting them a couple of times a week, sometimes more, for a long time I thought my nails could benefit from a break. It was hard because I love having painted nails and I'm always buying nail polish that I want to try out. I think I did good lasting three weeks :)

      First Coat of Ciate Snow Globe

    With two coats of Ciate Snow Globe

I used BarryMs' Greenberry first, this is my favourite colour from their Gelly range.  After applying two coats I let them dry for a few minutes before applying a coat of Ciate Snow Globe. I absolutely adore Ciate polishes. Not only are the bottles cute with their little bows but I find the brush easy to grip and apply with. The polishes themselves have never disappointed me! 

I fancied a bit of sparkle which is why I chose Snow Glove to use over the top. It's a Cloudy polish with chunky hologram foil pieces in silver, pink and blue. I had to apply two coats to get a decent layer of the pieces but it dries clear, so it doesn't look too thick or cloud the colour underneath. 

I really love this combo, its perfect for ending the summer before I dig out the more autumnal colours.

1D - One Direction- Harry Styles Nail Art

One Direction Nail Art - Harry Styles!!

 

Hey Beauties

 

As you know I am addicted to nail polish and I love playing around and trying out nail art designs. 

Last night I couldn't sleep because it was so warm and so I decided to get some inspiration for new designs. 

There is so much that inspires me but I thought I would start with a music inspired mani. 

I'm not a fan of one direction as such, I will sing along too their songs and love how much success they have after The X Factor. It's great that a British band is loved worldwide! 

As Harry Styles is so popular I thought I would give him a go ;) 

I didn't want him on every nail, I thought it would look much better with one of him and a few little hearts, kisses etc...

                           

I haven't tidied the edges up yet as I'm scared of smudging Harry! 

I'm very pleased with how it turned out, first time no fixing or starting over! 

 

If you want to have a go this is what you will need.

                                                                   Products Used. 

Fine Detail Nail Art Brush (available in a set of nail art brushes from ebay prices from 99p from China up to £3 UK sellers)

White (BarryM White) - For Painting two coats on each finger. 

Red Ciate Mistress) - For using with the fine detail nail art brush to paint on The 1D, lips and heart. 

Black (MeMeMe) - For the lovely Harry Styles (start with a circle of pink/peach polish for his face) & To write his name. 

Brown (Nails Inc) - For Harry's Hair

Red Glitter (BarryM Red Glitter)- Layer over the heart. 

Clear top coat to finish, I used Boots 17.

When drawing harry you need to dab on a circle of a flesh tone polish for his face, then outline with the black polish and nail art brush. Add the mouth, eyes, eyebrows and nose. Draw in the outline of his hair and jacket(almost a diamond shape). Fill in his jacket and draw a skinny tie in the middle. Using a tiny bit of brown polish full in his hair. 

Leave then to dry for at least 3 minutes before adding the topcoat.

BarryM Nail Series - Gelly Hi Shine Grapefruit Nail Polish

Hey Beauties!

How has your week been so far? 

I am on holiday(from working not an actual holiday) from Wednesday afternoon, for 5 days for my Hubby's birthday. I'm excited to have some days out and get a few (boring) jobs done around the house too!! 

Today's product is the Gelly Hi Shine Grapefruit GNP 8 no 316. 

, 

This is a vibrant Pink, perfect for Summer. It applies beautifully and if you apply it thick enough, you only need one coat :) 

Drying time was about 2-3 minutes for touch dry and about 30 mins before I felt I could do anything around the house, button up clothing without smudging etc...

I apologise if i sound like a broken record with the Gelly NP's, but I love them so much. I really haven't got a negative thing to say about them.

 

I'm dying to getting my hands on the new summer colours for the Gelly Range and I need the pink sequin effect in my life ASAP! 

Superdrug currently have a 3 for 2 deal on all cosmetics, so go stock up before it finishes :)

BarryM Nail Series - BarryM Gelly Hi Shine NP Dragon Fruit

Hi Beauties

How is your weekend going so far? I hope you have been able to enjoy the lovely weather today! :)

Today's product is the BarryM Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in shade Dragon Fruit GNP 11.

This is a very pretty pink and the colour makes me think of summer, candy and barbie! As i always say i love me a pretty pink polish and this one doesn't disappoint.

I applied two coats as the first wasn't quite opaque and left it a couple of minutes to dry. I love how shiny the Gelly NP's are, how long lasting they are and the amazing quality for the cheap price.

Once it was dry I decided to add a black tip to make it a bit more funky! It's not neat and perfect (I quickly swiped across the tip with a normal black polish in a rush) but I still love the look and finish!

The Gelly Polishes are fast becoming my favourite NP ever and I'm very happy to hear they have released some more colours ready for Summer.

Superdrug currently have a 3 for 2 off on selected BarryM which, includes all nail polish :)

BarryM Series - BarryM Gelly Hi Shine Greenberry

I hope you have had a great Easter Bank Holiday and over indulged on Easter Eggs!

 

Todays post is another gorgeous BarryM Nail Polish, this one is part of the Gelly Hi Shine collection. Not only is the colour a gorgeous Turquoise with a very shiney finish but its colourful and bright, making it a perfect Spring/Summer Mani!

 

This took two coats to get a perfect finish, didn't streak and dried quickly. I havent used a Top Coat and 4 days later I have no chipping, thats right NO chipping after 4 days! I am so glad I picked up this colour, I know it will be a popular choice for me this coming Summer.

BarryM Series - BarryM Nail Paint Navy

Hi Lovelies

It's almost Friday! I cannot wait for the weekend.


Today's BarryM product is a Nail Paint in the colour Navy. This is one of my favourites, I first bought it about 3 years ago and wear it quite a lot.
It's opaque in two coats, feels silky smooth to the touch and has a high shine finish.
When I fancy a dark mani this is usually my first choice, its just such a beautiful Blue and looks fantastic for everyday wear, anytime of the year.
I also like to wear it with big chunky gold glitter on top. Navy and Gold go so well together and I often get compliments when I wear that combo on my nails.

BarryM Nail Series - Peach Melba Nail Paint

Hi Lovelies

I am a huge fan of the BarryM Nail Paints and I think I own almost every single one. So I thought I would do a post on each one, my thoughts, how they apply, pictures and which are my favourites. As Spring is just around the corner, I thought I would start with some pastels perfect for any spring outfit!

318 Peach Melba is one of my all time favourite BarryM Nail Paints. I wear it a lot as its a nude and goes with any outfit. I also think this colour looks gorgeous teamed with any glitter either all over or just on the tips etc... to change it up a bit.

On the pictures you will see I added a bit of BarryM 210 Once Upon A Lifetime Glitter Polish . I decided on this one as I love Purple and wanted a colour completely different to the Peach Melba.

The Peach Melba is fully opaque after applying a couple of coats. It's a very thick and creamy formula that dries to the touch quickly (It takes about two hours before it stops smudging etc... when you are doing stuff like housework and getting ready, so still be careful!) I am very impatient and hate waiting for nails to dry :)

January Favourites

Hi Lovelies,

Here are some of the products I have loved this Month. A few are items I regularly use from my make up bag and others that I have discovered in the past few weeks.

The BarryM Lip Lacquer Pencil in Cherry Red- A favourite of mine for evenings and weekends.

Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in Darling- recently discovered and I have worn it a lot this past 10 days or so.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Ivory- I have nearly finished this and will definitely buy again.

Boujois Volumizer Mascara in Black- I like this a lot. I use No 1 in the day and a coat of the 2nd brush for evenings.

MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 13(it's a dark purple but shows up a charcoal colour on the picture)

Wellaflex Silvikrin Hairspray- A handbag must have!

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Bling-Tastic - My favourite glitter varnish ever!

Sleek Glo Bronze Baby- I always get asked what I'm wearing when I use this to highlight and bronze.

I'm not really a big fan of bronzer but I find the Sleek Glo gives a lovely natural Glow that I can also build for more of a bronze look should I ever feel like a bit of colour.

I'm now off to read all the January Fav posts on my Dashboard and watch a few Videos :)

BarryM Ultra Moisturising Lip Paint 156

Hello!

Today I am reviewing the BarryM Ultra Moisturising Lip Paints in shade 156.

The lipstick itself is a gorgeous dark pinky-purple that apples a beautiful dark pink on the lips. It is very moisturising and lasted about 3 hours before I felt The need to re-apply. I have a few of the BarryM lip paints(black packaging) which can be a bit drying so I was very pleased when I found they do a moisturising lipstick range too. I always find whatever I buy from BarryM to be good quality and value for money and this product doesn't disappoint. For me it ticks all the boxes for what I want/need from a lip product and it is a bargain at £4.49!
In the picture I am just wearing the lipstick, no lip liner or gloss.

BarryM Indigo Review

How are you enjoying the snow if you have it where you are? I have to say I love the snow but we dont get much in the Midlands(UK).

Today I am reveiwing the BarryM Indigo NP312 :)

I used this product when testing the MUA Fur-Effect Nails yesterday. Its a beautiful colour, in the bottle it looks more of a Purply-Blue but when applied I think it is more towards Navy Blue than Purple. I am a fan of BarryM Nail Paints, as they are really good quality for how much they cost. You get 10ml for £2.95, it applies really well and you only need two coats for a perfect opaque finish. I dont use a Top Coat as I change my nail colour quite alot and it has a very shiny finish so I dont feel the need to use anything to prolong the wear or add shine. The brush is a decent length so you shouldn't have too much waste once you reach the end of a bottle. I usually find BarryM takes about 2 days to start chipping without a Top Coat (when doing a lot around the house, shopping and busy days) and days when I'm not doing much it can last 3-4. This is perfect for me because as I said I change them so much it really doesnt matter. I also love to paint the tip for a colour block effect rather than remove the whole colour. It saves time and can make them new again in less than 5 minutes.

MUA Fur-Effect Nails

Hi :)

I finally tried the new Fur-Effect Nails in Fluffy Bobbin today. It's available online from MUA and Superdrug and some Superdrug Stores.

I found it quite hard to get the powder out but apart from that it was easy to use and apply.

I applied the BarryM Indigo to my nails leaving one blank. Then with the Clear polish I painted a cross and quickly applied the Fluffy Bobbin powder with a nail art brush. Then I left it to dry a few minutes before blowing the extra powder off the nail.

If I'm honest I don't think I will ever use it on all my nails, only for nail art and fun designs, accent nails etc...
Definitely worth the purchase to add to my collection and a bargain at just £3!
